We earn your trust by making sure you and your home are protected throughout the entire repair, remodeling or building process. Our Texas Residential Construction Commission (TRCC) Registered Builder number is #10089. If the "other" guy doesn’t have a TRCC number he's just a "wannabe" with a pick-up truck, a hammer, and a dog pretending to be a legitimate professional! He probably doesn't accept VISA or MasterCard, either!

We will gladly have our insurance carrier provide you with our General Liability Certificate, at your request.

Our electricians, plumbers, home inspectors, and HVAC service providers are licensed and maintain general liability insurance. We make sure of it, or they cannot work for us.

When necessary, we secure the town or city permits and ensure that all our bids include any permit costs for each construction and handyman job.

We are so confident in the quality of the work we provide that we offer you a guarantee that no other contractors will.

We have a 13 month warranty on all labor and materials that are provided by us on every job we do. That warranty stays effective even if you sell your home within that 13 month period! We can find no other service like ours in the DFW area that offers this guarantee. None!

Our craftsmen, high standards, and a one of a kind guarantee demonstrate our professionalism. Being timely, methodical and well-mannered is our standard. The Neighborhood GuyTM "team" is a handpicked group of craftsmen and professionals dedicated to serving you and your family. Michael has personally worked with each craftsman an average of 9 years. They know what is expected of them on each project…and they deliver!

We never charge by the hour because it wouldn’t be fair to you. Our craftsmen will complete your job as quickly and efficiently as possible for the firm bid price and perform with excellence, empathy and respect for your pocketbook and home life.

We trust you and want you to trust us. Payment for every project is due the day the project is completed - never before. We accept Mastercard, Visa and checks. We will not accept cash under any circumstances. If the "other" guy requires a "down payment" for materials, no matter the size of the job, it’s a clue as to how his business is managed. A fully funded, well managed business, such as ours, will not make those demands of their clients.

You can rest assured, that The Neighborhood GuyTM or a consultant will return your phone call generally within 24 hours or so, if not sooner. Calls received after 5:00 pm will be returned the following day. We thank you in advance for your patience...especially during and just after severe weather hits the area. Emergencies like roof leaks and electrical failures will take priority on occasion.

Our prices are more affordable than the franchise handyman services because we do not have the associated franchise marketing and management fees. "Their" services are based on a time and material formula that is inherently unfair to their clients. We price each task or project separately, in a menu form if necessary, so you can budget accordingly. We achieve our profitability through repeat business and the referrals of our many delighted clients.

Michael has been approached several times about creating a franchise system for The Neighborhood GuyTM. After observing how many of the national franchises have to operate, he's decided, for our clients' sake, (and his own sanity!) to remain focused on developing long-term relationships with clients rather than acting as a dispatching clearinghouse. Besides, he couldn't sleep at night if he had to charge a client $95.00 an hour plus materials to hang a few pictures or fix a fence gate!
